widespread harmful drug use (not weed) is a method of control of the people by the elites. E.G. the opium addiction of the Chinese to the British, which ignited the Opium war. The terrible thing about these drugs is that the high is really high, and the low is so physically painful that you need relief, and that is the drug. Which puts you on a high again. When you understand that hard drugs are a double-edged sword then you understand why the CIA is the biggest hard drug smuggler in the world.

@hunter4life1234: Depends on which drugs are being spoken about in the legalization topic, some the government could and would make millions, in the states billions, of dollars. Half of Canadians, for example, admit to smoking pot, and the number of young people smoking pot (young adults 18-25) is increasing every year.
